HGI Kick Off Meeting

The official HGI kick-off meeting took place in Issy les Moulineaux (France) on April 13th.

The open meeting, aiming at presenting goals, organisation and vision of HGI as well as a view on standardisation landscape associated was followed by over 120 participants. Besides the founding operators (Belgacom, BT, DeutscheTelekom, France Télécom, NTT, Telecom Italia, Telefonica and Telia Sonera), the meeting was attended by 3 new operators (Swisscom, Telenor and Telstra) and by vendors already involved in this area : 2Wire, Alcatel, Analog Devices, AVN GmbH, BeWan, BridgeCo, Cisco, Coaxsys, Corimex, Ecitele, ESK, Hitashi, IBBT, IBM, InAccess networks SA, Infineon, Intel, Jungo Software, Linksys, Lucent, Marconi, Microsoft TV, Motive, Motorola, Nokia, Philips CE, PMC Sierra, Sagem, Siemens, ST Microelectronics, Thomson, TNO ICT,Trialog and Zyxel Communications.

After the presentations (slides are available on the site), the real work started with presentation of new members - a few of open session participants have not decided yet to join the initiative and introduction of HGI procedures of work. This session was reserved to members.
